FAQ
Questions, answered.
Launch dates, phones, price, privacy and how circles work. Can’t find yours? Write to us and a real person replies.
When does XPNSE launch?
XPNSE is in early access now, with no public launch date yet. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you a testing link (Google Play testing for Android, TestFlight for iPhone) as soon as there’s a spot for you, plus news when it launches.
Which phones will it work on?
Android phones and iPhones. Pick yours when you join the waitlist, so we send the right testing link.
Is it free?
Yes. Everything is free during early access. If that ever changes, we’ll tell you well in advance.
Does XPNSE read my SMS or connect to my bank?
No. XPNSE never asks for SMS access and never asks for bank or card logins. You add spends yourself, which takes a few seconds. For cards, you only ever enter a name and, if you like, the last 4 digits.
How do circles keep my spending private?
A circle only sees the expenses and payments you add to that circle. Your personal transactions, budgets, cards and goals are readable only by your account, enforced by our database security rules. People join a circle only when its admin approves them.
Where is my data stored?
If you sign in, your data syncs to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), sent over HTTPS and encrypted at rest. In guest mode it stays on your phone only. We don’t sell data or show ads.
How do I delete my data?
In the app: Settings → Delete account erases your account and records. To leave the waitlist, use the unsubscribe link in any email or write to privacy@xpnse.app.
Which languages and currencies are supported?
English, हिन्दी (Hindi) and తెలుగు (Telugu), with 30 currencies and Indian digit grouping for rupees.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Add and edit anything offline; it syncs automatically when you’re back online.
