How we keep it safe
Personal stays personal, even inside circles
Your own transactions, budgets, cards and goals are readable only by your account. Circle members see only the shared expenses and payments in that circle, plus your name and the UPI ID you choose to share.
No ads, no selling your data
We don’t show ads and we don’t sell or rent your data to anyone.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Synced data travels over TLS (HTTPS) to Google Firebase (Google Cloud), which encrypts it at rest. Strict security rules decide who can read each record.
Yours to export or delete
Export your data any time. Delete your account in the app and your records are erased; shared circle expenses stay with the circle so everyone else’s balances stay right.
Guest mode stays on your phone
Use XPNSE without an account and your data never leaves your device. Add an app lock if you like.

Does XPNSE read my SMS or connect to my bank?
No. XPNSE never asks for SMS access and never asks for bank or card logins. You add spends yourself, which takes a few seconds. For cards, you only ever enter a name and, if you like, the last 4 digits.
How do circles keep my spending private?
A circle only sees the expenses and payments you add to that circle. Your personal transactions, budgets, cards and goals are readable only by your account, enforced by our database security rules. People join a circle only when its admin approves them.
Where is my data stored?
If you sign in, your data syncs to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), sent over HTTPS and encrypted at rest. In guest mode it stays on your phone only. We don’t sell data or show ads.
How do I delete my data?
In the app: Settings → Delete account erases your account and records. To leave the waitlist, use the unsubscribe link in any email or write to privacy@xpnse.app.
